First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at why many veterans with PTSD do not start recommended treatments like cognitive processing therapy or prolonged exposure therapy. Researchers will track the treatments veterans actually receive and identify barriers to starting effective therapy. The goal is to design a program that helps veterans transition to proven PTSD care more quickly. The study involves 40 veterans from the San Francisco VA Medical Center.
