Scientists work to stop lab test confusion
NCT ID NCT07173114
Summary
This study aims to make medical lab tests more reliable and consistent. Researchers are testing new reference materials to ensure that blood tests for conditions like hormone levels and infections give the same accurate result, no matter which hospital or machine performs the test. They will enroll 300 adults, including some on specific medications, to compare test results from these new materials against real patient blood samples.
