First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a web-based decision support tool to help primary care doctors in rural clinics better identify and manage high blood pressure in children aged 6-17. Over 41,000 children from 45 clinics in three Midwestern states took part. The goal was to see if the tool improved how often doctors re-checked blood pressure and recognized hypertension, especially in areas with limited access to pediatric specialists.
