Heart surgery upgrade: training hospitals to use better grafts

NCT ID NCT07377149

Summary

This study aims to improve the quality of heart bypass surgeries by helping hospitals use better artery grafts more often. It will provide training and support to surgical teams at 8,700 hospitals, focusing on increasing the use of durable artery grafts instead of vein grafts. The research will track whether these hospital-level changes lead to more patients receiving the recommended grafts and if that affects recovery outcomes.
