Breast cancer study asks: skip the Pre-Med after two safe doses?
NCT ID NCT07478315
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether breast cancer patients can safely stop taking premedication (drugs to prevent allergic reactions) after two well-tolerated doses of weekly paclitaxel chemotherapy. The goal is to see if stopping these extra drugs improves quality of life, since they can cause side effects like insomnia and fatigue. About 50 patients with non-metastatic breast cancer will be split into two groups: one that stops premedication and one that continues as usual.
