First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical methods to treat peri-implantitis, a gum infection around dental implants. One method smooths the implant surface, the other uses an air-abrasive device to clean it. Researchers will check which approach works better at controlling infection and preserving bone over one year in 45 adults.
