NCT ID NCT06884475
First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at a procedure called implantoplasty, where the rough part of a dental implant is smoothed to treat gum infection (peri-implantitis). Forty adults with this condition will be split into two groups: one gets implantoplasty plus cleaning, the other gets cleaning only. Researchers will check gum health, measure titanium particles in the fluid around the implant, and study the bacteria present over 6 months to see which approach works better.
