Dental implant shape may influence bone health, new study suggests
NCT ID NCT06636097
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study aims to see if the inner shape (concave or convex) of a full-arch dental bridge affects bone loss around the supporting implants. Researchers will measure the bridge's shape and check bone levels, probing depth, and bleeding in 50 adults who have had such a bridge for at least a year. The goal is to understand if certain designs lead to more plaque buildup and bone loss, which could improve future implant care.
