Ankle implant shows promise for bladder control

NCT ID NCT05226286

Summary

This study tested the safety and effectiveness of a small, implantable device for people with overactive bladder. The device sends gentle electrical pulses to a nerve near the ankle, which is thought to help calm the bladder. Researchers measured whether it reduced sudden urges and leaks, and improved quality of life over six months.
