Summary
This study looks at whether making a medicine called fibrinogen concentrate free for hospitals changes how much blood is given to patients during complex heart surgery. Researchers will compare patients treated before and after the medicine was covered by insurance in Belgium. The goal is to see if it reduces the need for blood transfusions and improves patient outcomes.
