First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving the steroid methylprednisolone right after a stroke clot removal procedure can improve recovery and reduce complications. About 210 adults who had a major stroke from a blocked artery in the brain will be randomly assigned to receive either the steroid or a placebo. The goal is to see if this treatment lowers the risk of bleeding and helps patients regain more function.
