First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving the steroid methylprednisolone right after a stroke clot removal procedure can help patients recover better. About 1,060 adults who had a large-vessel stroke will receive either the steroid or a placebo through an artery and then through a vein over three days. The goal is to see if this treatment reduces disability and improves daily function without increasing bleeding or other risks.
