New hope for advanced lung cancer: immunotherapy may keep disease at bay

Summary
This study tests whether continuing the immunotherapy drug cemiplimab for up to a year can help people with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to only a few spots (oligometastatic). After initial treatment with cemiplimab plus chemotherapy and targeted radiation or surgery, participants are randomly assigned to receive either cemiplimab or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug delays cancer progression or death. About 136 adults will take part.
