New immune therapy duo battles Tough-to-Treat kidney cancer

NCT ID NCT03075423

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of two immunotherapy drugs (nivolumab and ipilimumab) works better than standard treatments for people with a specific, hard-to-treat type of advanced kidney cancer that has spread. It involved 316 adults with previously untreated, advanced non-clear cell kidney cancer. The main goal was to see if the drug combo helped people live longer compared to standard care.
