New hope for fighting rare, Fast-Growing thyroid cancer

NCT ID NCT03181100

Summary

This study is testing whether combining a drug that helps the immune system fight cancer (atezolizumab) with different chemotherapy drugs can help people with aggressive forms of thyroid cancer that have spread or cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can help patients live longer and control the cancer better than standard treatments. The trial is for adults with specific types of advanced thyroid cancer and is no longer recruiting new participants.
