New Pre-Surgery treatment aims to shrink tumors and boost survival

Summary
This study is testing whether giving an immunotherapy drug called pembrolizumab before surgery can help people with certain localized, operable cancers. The goal is to see if this pre-surgery treatment can shrink or even eliminate the tumor, potentially leading to better long-term results. The trial will enroll 240 adults with specific types of cancer that have a particular genetic signature (MSI/dMMR), including colorectal and gastric cancers.
