First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study aims to learn how the immune system reacts to COVID-19 during and after infection, and why some people get very sick while others have no symptoms. It will collect blood and stool samples by mail from up to 5,000 people of all ages, including those with confirmed or suspected infection, those heavily exposed but not infected, and their relatives. The goal is to identify genetic and immune factors that influence disease severity and recovery.
