First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people develop a complication called PVR after surgery for a detached retina. Researchers will collect a small sample of eye fluid during surgery and take special eye images before and after the operation. By analyzing these samples and images, they hope to create a risk model to predict who might develop PVR. The study involves 50 adults with a first-time, uncomplicated retinal detachment.
