Can your mind ease your pain? study tests 'Imagined Acupuncture' after surgery
NCT ID NCT07197710
Summary
This study is testing if a video-guided mental exercise, called imagined acupuncture, can help control pain after spinal surgery. Researchers want to see if this approach reduces pain, helps patients use fewer opioid painkillers, and recover function faster. They will compare 120 patients who watch the imagery video to those who watch a standard educational video for one week after their operation.
