Sharper radiation aims to zap Kids' tumors, spare healthy tissue

NCT ID NCT00186992

Summary

This study is testing a more precise form of radiation therapy for children and young adults with bone and soft tissue cancers like sarcoma. The goal is to see if using advanced imaging to guide the radiation can better control the tumor while causing fewer long-term side effects to nearby healthy bones and muscles. Researchers are enrolling up to 202 participants aged 25 or younger to measure how well the treatment works and track its impact on growth and function over many years.
