Summary
This study tested a new type of spine surgery called ILIF™ in 77 adults with degenerative disc disease (a worn-out disc in the lower back). The surgery involved removing pressure on nerves and fusing the bones together with a small plate and bone graft. Researchers measured changes in pain and disability over 24 months to see if the procedure helped patients function better.
