Summary

This study looks at whether measuring a blood marker called IL-6 can help doctors decide when to give extra treatment to patients hospitalized with severe breathing problems. About 60 adults will have their IL-6 levels checked over two days. Those with high levels will receive either standard care alone, standard care plus tocilizumab, or standard care plus dexamethasone. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and can prevent the condition from getting worse.
