Scientists search for gum disease clues in spit
NCT ID NCT07497828
Summary
This study aimed to understand the role of a protein called IL-36α in gum disease. Researchers collected saliva and fluid from the gums of 80 people, including those with healthy gums, gingivitis, and periodontitis. They measured the protein levels and compared them to standard dental health measurements to see if there was a connection.
