Scientists hunt for a new target to fight Pre-Leukemia

NCT ID NCT07455500

Summary

This study aims to gather information to see if a protein on certain blood cancer cells, called IL-1RAP, could be a good target for a future CAR-T cell therapy. Researchers will collect blood and bone marrow samples from 120 patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a type of pre-leukemia. They will test in the lab if specially engineered immune cells can attack MDS cells using this protein as a target.
