Scientists hunt for a new weapon against Pre-Leukemia
NCT ID NCT07455500
Summary
This study aims to collect blood and bone marrow samples from people with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) to test a potential new immunotherapy. Researchers want to see if a lab-made immune cell therapy (CAR-T cells) can effectively target and kill MDS cells by recognizing a specific protein on their surface called IL-1RAP. The goal is to gather the necessary information to potentially start a future treatment trial for patients with high-risk MDS who have few other options.
