NCT ID NCT06718049
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether measuring two substances in the blood, IL-18 and IL-18BP, can help doctors tell apart rare inflammatory diseases like systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis from other fever-causing illnesses. Researchers will study 9 children aged 2 to 18 who have certain inflammatory or infectious conditions. The goal is to find new lab markers that could lead to faster and more accurate diagnoses.
