New drug could free patients from repeat throat surgeries
NCT ID NCT05309616
Summary
This study is testing if a drug called Taltz can slow down the growth of scar tissue in the windpipe, a condition called idiopathic subglottic stenosis. The goal is to see if the drug can help patients avoid or delay the need for repeated surgical procedures to keep their airway open. Ten patients at Yale will receive the drug, and researchers will track how long they can go between surgeries and monitor their breathing and quality of life.
