Summary
This study tested a new treatment for people with advanced melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery. The treatment uses a virus to deliver a gene that makes a protein called IL-12, which helps the immune system attack cancer cells. Patients also took an oral drug to control the gene's activity. The main goal was to check safety and find the right dose. 26 people took part in this early-stage trial.
