Summary

This study tested a smartphone app called iKinnect2.0 for teens aged 15–21 who are involved in the juvenile justice system and at risk for suicide. The app helps youth and their parents learn coping skills, improve communication, and manage distress. 56 parent-teen pairs participated, and researchers measured changes in suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and family functioning over 16 weeks.
