Summary

This study tested a special surgical glue called Ifabond in 104 breast cancer patients having partial mastectomy. The goal was to see if the glue reduces seroma—painful fluid collections that can form after surgery. Patients were randomly assigned to get the glue or standard care, and fluid levels were checked with ultrasound at 15 and 30 days after surgery. The study also looked at whether the glue improved comfort and reduced the need for needle drainage.
