This study investigates whether lymph nodes in the lower abdomen, called the inferior epigastric lymph node basin, might be an early stop for ovarian cancer spreading from the peritoneum. Researchers will biopsy these nodes in 20 patients undergoing surgery for ovarian peritoneal metastases to see how often they contain cancer cells. The goal is to understand if this pathway could serve as a marker for how the disease progresses and its risk of spreading further.
