Doctors dig through records to uncover why some ICU pneumonias resist treatment
NCT ID NCT04700202
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 132 ICU patients who developed pneumonia while in the hospital or on a ventilator. Researchers wanted to understand what factors make these infections resistant to common antibiotics. By analyzing past patient data, the goal was to help doctors better predict and manage these serious infections in the future.
