Can a simple meeting reduce nurse burnout? ICU study investigates

NCT ID NCT04243356

Summary

This study aims to understand if having ICU nurses meet with their former patients after hospital discharge affects the nurses' job satisfaction and feelings of burnout. It involves 10 former ICU patients and 20 of their former nurses, with half the nurses randomly selected to have these follow-up meetings. Researchers will compare survey results from nurses who have these encounters with those who don't.
