New mouth check could help ICU patients heal faster
NCT ID NCT06628440
Summary
This study aims to create and test a new tool to check the mouth health of adults in intensive care who are on breathing machines. The breathing tube can cause mouth sores and injuries, which can slow recovery. Researchers will test how well this new assessment tool works with 500 patients to help nurses provide better mouth care.
