Could a simple blood test ratio predict ICU survival?

NCT ID NCT07301359

Summary

This study looked back at the medical records of 1,776 adults in intensive care. Researchers wanted to see if a specific ratio from a common blood test (measuring oxygen and carbon dioxide) could help predict who was most likely to die in the ICU, even after considering other vital signs like blood pressure. The goal was to find a better way to identify high-risk patients.
