Doctors test simpler way to check oxygen before emergency breathing tube
NCT ID NCT05409573
Summary
This study aims to find out if a simple facemask can reliably measure oxygen levels in critically ill patients who need an emergency breathing tube. Currently, doctors use a more invasive method. Researchers will compare oxygen readings from a standard facemask to readings from a small tube placed in the nose in 30 ICU patients to see if the simpler method is accurate enough.
