Race to find the best blade for ICU breathing tubes
NCT ID NCT06322719
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common video laryngoscope blades helps doctors place a breathing tube correctly on the first try in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients. It will compare a standard 'Macintosh' blade against a more sharply angled 'hyperangulated' blade. The goal is to improve the safety and success of this critical procedure for over 1,000 critically ill adults.
