Massive global study probes Life-Saving fluid drips in ICU

NCT ID NCT06394947

Summary

This study aimed to understand how doctors around the world give fluids to critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICUs). It observed over 4,700 patients to see if the amount, type, and method of giving fluids are linked to how well patients recover, including survival and time spent on life support. The goal was to gather knowledge to help improve future treatment standards, not to test a new treatment.
