Doctors test better way to gauge fluid needs for ICU patients
NCT ID NCT07304661
Summary
This study aims to find a better way to predict which critically ill patients on breathing machines will benefit from receiving extra IV fluids. Researchers will compare two measurement techniques taken during a simple leg-raising maneuver in 48 adult ICU patients. The goal is to help doctors make more precise decisions about fluid therapy to avoid giving too much or too little.
