Global study aims to improve ICU breathing tube removal practices
NCT ID NCT07337408
Summary
This study will observe how intensive care units in developing countries remove breathing tubes from patients who have been on ventilators. Researchers will track 900 patients across multiple hospitals to see how often tube removal succeeds or fails, and what factors lead to complications. The goal is to gather data that could help improve standard practices for safely taking patients off breathing machines.
