Summary
This study tests whether educating doctors and healthcare teams about current guidelines can reduce unnecessary antibiotic use in intensive care units (ICUs). Researchers will work with 10 Brazilian ICUs, providing training and feedback on when to start antibiotics, when to stop them, and how long to continue treatment. The study will monitor whether this educational approach safely reduces antibiotic use without negatively affecting patient survival or hospital stay length.
