New study tests if adding targeted radiation to drug therapy improves brain metastasis control

Summary
This study looks at whether adding a precise form of radiation (SRS) to the drug osimertinib is better than osimertinib alone for treating brain metastases in people with a specific type of lung cancer (NSCLC with EGFR mutation). About 56 adults who have at least one brain metastasis and are either starting or have recently started osimertinib will take part. The main goal is to see which approach better delays brain tumor growth and how it affects quality of life.
