Scientists harvest cells to unlock mystery of rare immune disorder

NCT ID NCT02015013

Summary

This study aims to understand a rare condition called Idiopathic CD4 Lymphocytopenia (ICL), where people have very low levels of a key immune cell. Researchers will collect special cells from the blood of 40 participants, including patients with ICL and healthy volunteers. These cells will be studied in the lab and in mice to learn how they develop and move, which may reveal clues about what causes ICL.
