First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether a green dye (indocyanine green) injected into a vein works as well as the standard dye injected into the bile ducts during gallbladder removal surgery. The goal is to help surgeons see the bile ducts more clearly, which could reduce the risk of accidental injury. The study involved 156 adults with acute gallstone inflammation who needed laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
