First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a special dye (indocyanine green) during laparoscopic surgery for colon or rectal cancer helps surgeons see blood flow in the bowel and reduce the risk of leaks. Researchers compared 115 patients who had the dye with a similar group who did not. The goal was to see if the dye leads to fewer complications after surgery.
