First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether removing a smaller amount of healthy skin around a melanoma (narrow excision) works as well as the standard wider removal. About 1,000 adults with early-stage invasive melanoma will take part. The goal is to see if the narrower approach reduces side effects and improves quality of life while keeping the cancer from coming back.
