Scientists chill out: testing how cold hands really feel
NCT ID NCT07254182
Summary
This study aimed to understand how applying an ice pack to the hand affects skin temperature and a person's perception of cold and comfort. Researchers compared a 15-minute ice pack to a room-temperature pack on healthy young men in a single lab session. They measured skin temperature and asked participants to rate how cold and comfortable their hand felt during and after the application.
