First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This pilot study looked at whether a larger trial is possible to compare two types of implantable defibrillators (under-the-skin vs traditional wire) in 5 people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy who need a defibrillator but not a pacemaker. The main goals were to see how many people could be recruited and to track problems like inappropriate shocks or device complications over 12 months.
