What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a convenient, accessible online treatment option for anxiety and depression, reducing the need for frequent clinic visits.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small trial (120 participants) and the therapy is delivered online, so results may not apply to everyone. The study hasn't started yet, and the intervention may not be as effective as in-person therapy.
