First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of giving chemotherapy directly into the abdomen after surgery for appendix or colorectal cancer that has spread to the lining of the belly. The goal is to see which method helps prevent cancer from coming back longer. About 292 adults who have had successful surgery to remove visible cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either early post-operative chemotherapy or heated chemotherapy during surgery.
